I waited to post this out of respect for our friendly competitor and friend who had a misfortunate accidental crane tip over. Last year we assisted a crane uprighting project to assist a toppled crane back to the upright position. This is not what another operator wants to see but the benefit to our company performing the rescue is that our operators had the chance to witness the devestation first hand. It was a 100 ton that tipped while picking a tree top that was far away. The tree cutter apparently did not cut the wood all the way through before instructing the operator to fly it away but the tree was also large and too far away. Miscommunication or maybe poor choice on job site set up but either way we are thankful that our friends are not hurt because metal can be replaced. Please be careful out there!
